As many Georgian women are becoming ray of hope with their success the name is Nana Tvinikadze is also one among them. She proved her skill after establishing herself as the successfull beekeeper.
It is to be added that she has been doing this work with financial assistance from many local and European as well as international organisation. She is known throughout the country as a a successful beekeeper from the village of Mereti, located near the conflict separation line in Shida Kartli region.
The success story of her was also shared by UNDP Georgia on social media pages. They have also shared glimpses of her farmhouse as well. There are many successful projects which are being run with the assistance of UNDP (United Nation Development Program).
It is worth to note that the Nana’s honey production is increasing day by day and her experience of successful entrepreneurship is an inspiration to her fellow villagers. Nana, with the help of the European Union and UN Development Programme gained the knowledge and technical assistance required to develop her business and was able to expand her own beekeeping.
At the same time it is also to be note that in the last year of 2023 – 1,500 women affected by conflict benefited from the EU and UNDP.
Many other assistance programs are also being implemented within the framework of the #EU4Dialogue project. There are many projects which are under progress with partnership of a non-governmental organization “Blind of Peace Manathea”.
Notably in this region of Shida Kartli the survival if business is considered as biggest challenge due to continue conflicts. The big companies hesitate to invest in region as continue conflict could have negative effects on the progress journey of company.
This successful beekeeper while sharing her successful journey added that, she is very thankful to the European Union and UNDP Georgia help.
According to her she owes her success to financial, technical as well as logistics help provided by the different organisation. According to her other women should also come forward and adopt the self-employment business model.
