Tbilisi: To increase the export of Georgian wine to the German market, a large-scale campaign will be implemented in 2025 by Georgia national wine agency. This will be held with the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, led by the marketing company “ff.k Public Relations”.
It is worth to note that Germany is the largest importer and consumer of wine in Europe and at the same time, one of the potentially growing strategic export markets for Georgian wine. So national wine agency wants to tap the business potential in Germany as well as many other European countries also.
As part of the campaign, tasting seminars will be held in various cities in Germany for wine professionals, representatives of the wine trade and consumers.
At the same time under the series of these events the Georgian wine will be presented at international exhibitions, targeted advertising and media campaigns will be carried out and wine tours will be organized in Georgia for media, sommeliers and sales representatives.
As part of the planned events, this year the first presentation of Georgian wine in Germany will be held on March 16-18 in Düsseldorf, at the world’s largest international exhibition “ProWein Dusseldorf”, where 24 Georgian wine-producing companies will participate with the support of the National Wine Agency.
As per the representative of the wine agency of Georgia with the consistent cooperation of the National Wine Agency with Georgian wine producers, it has become possible to create a growing trend in the export of Georgian wine.
In 2024, up to 1.3 million litters of wine were exported which is a 30% increase compared to 2023. At the same time along with Germany, the strategic export markets for Georgian wine are the USA, Great Britain, Poland, the Baltic countries, China, South Korea and Japan.
The nation wine agency of Georgia is very serious to grow wine exports. The past years many events were also held.
