Rustavi, Georgia: A new Youth Palace was opened in Rustavi on April 29, 2025, Tuesday. The city’s new Sports Palace served as the venue for the mayor’s recent presentation, which highlighted new initiatives in the areas of infrastructure, education, culture, and youth support.
The Rustavi Mayor, Nino Latsabidze shared the glimpses of the opening on her official Facebook page on Tuesday. She also shared a video of the youth palace along with a small note on her social media handles.
According to the posts shared by the mayor, it should be noted that the Mayor of Rustavi Nino Latsabidze opened the new building of the Youth Palace in Georgian Parliament together with Rustavi delegate Irakli Shatakishvili and state trustee Giorgi Dokturishvili in Lower Kartli.
The event was attended by Vakhtang Baakashvili, Deputy Mayor of Rustavi, representatives of the City Council fraction “Georgian Dream“, Rustavi youth, and teachers of the Youth Palace.
She addressed the participants with a welcome speech. During her speech, she also expressed her warm gratitude towards the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze for the opportunity that their city has today as a new youth palace.
Nino Latsabidze presented the presentation of Rustavi City Hall’s youth policy and the new concept of the palace with the team. Along with the building of the New Youth Palace, the main side of the old Pupil-Youth Center has also been completely renovated.
The palace’s new idea is multifaceted and tailored to young people’s interests. Children from Rustavi will have the chance to learn mental math, lego-robotics, natural sciences, laboratory observation, sketching, calligraphy, painting, choreography, and theatrical arts at the educational center, which will operate as a club principal. Programs for admission will also be effective.
Rustavi Youth Palace, in one of the colorful districts of the Old Town, is located on Rustaveli Street, two phases of the restoration project are already completed.
The new look of the Palace of Youth is completely in line with the architectural style of the old city. The Rustavi Youth Palace, where several generations have grown up, with modern and multidisciplinary content, will be another opportunity for Rustavi people.
Enrollment in the educational programs of Rustavi Youth Palace is done through online registration and 500 young people have already registered for different disciplines.
