Rustavi: The Rustavi administration is all set to implement a new sports project in city. The information about this new project was also shared by the city Mayor, Nino Latsabidze.
At the opening of the new sports project mayor added, “Since the opening of the Sports Palace, the City Hall team has been working on this very good opportunity, now once again the Georgian government has given us to Rustavi people to apply as much as possible for the good of the city.”
Rustavi City Hall has started the implementation of a new sports-educational project to improve sports infrastructure. The mayor added that from today, in the Sports-Educational Museum in Rustavi Sports Palace, a weekend school will be opened, where young athletes from 10 to 16 years old will get the desired theoretical knowledge in different sports disciplines.
It is also worth to note that the lectures will be taught to Rustavi children by lecturers of the Georgian State University of Physical Education and Sports. At the same time the coaches will also take a special course of trainings, which will create an opportunity to implement modern approaches in sports schools of different profiles.
The project will be implemented in cooperation with the Georgian State University of Physical Education and Sports and will include 63 Rustaveli coaches. After completing the special education course, each of them will receive a certificate. The Sports Educational Museum, to attract young people’s interest in sports and improve services in this area, was opened by Rustavi City Hall a few months ago.
The Rustavi has a rich history in the sports achievement of country. Moreover, in the past years also many sports persons from Georgia take part in regional and international sports events.
It is also to be added that Rustavi city hall is also taking many initiatives to promote healthy lifestyle among the youth. Many sports events are organised to motivate youth in this direction as well.
