Many entertainment events are being held across the Georgia to celebrate Christmas and welcome new year. The ministry of defence also held special event for children of army personals.
The official page of Ministry of defence stated, “The army units of the Georgian defence forces located in Gori and Kutaisi and the 2nd Infantry Brigade hosted a new year event for the children of military personnel in Senaki.”
The event was attended by the large number of attendees including the army personals as well as their families along with children.The deputy minister of defence Gela Geladze and Commander of the defence Forces, Major General Giorgi Matiashvili congratulated the children of deceased, wounded and injured military personnel on the occasion of Christmas and New Year and wished them peace, health and prosperity.
It is worth mention that to mark this special event, various entertainment programs were offered to children at the Senaki military base. Georgian singers, animators and fairy-tale heroes took care of creating a New Year’s mood for them.
At the same time the new year’s village was also organized, where the children took memorable photos with Santa Claus and received gifts. The children of the military personnel were also given the opportunity to view the equipment and machinery available in the brigade.
Everyone was very happy being part of this event. The women soliders attend this moment with their small children and took selfies. The children of military personals were mesmerised by the musical performances of the performers also.
The army officer and other dignitaries graced this special occasion with their esteemed presence. They addressed the event attendees and extended their best wishes to them also. Many children were dresses in cloths of Santa clause. The Christmas tree was also lit at the stage.
