World: Artem Dekhtiarenko, a spokesman for Ukraine’s security service, said agents of the Russian armed forces were planning to shoot down a passenger plane on Russian or Belarusian soil and blame it on the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the international partners supplying arms to Ukraine.
According to the Security Service, the agency conducted a complex special operation and arrested enemy sabotage and intelligence groups planning a terrorist attack.

To provoke, the attackers wanted to open fire on a civilian aircraft from Stinger’s Portable Air Defense System (MANPADS). “In order to steal foreign MANPADS and smuggle them across the border, the representatives of the aggressor country gave the relevant task to the group of agents, Dekhtiarenko said.
A security spokesman said the enemy sabotage group included two people with dual citizenship and their accomplices. Their activities were led by Alexander Tuterev, a member of the General Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
According to the Ukrainian news agency, Tuterev had previously been involved in a series of terrorist attacks in the Odessa region, for which he was still wanted.
According to the security services, on the instructions of Tuterev, the agents pretended to be Ukrainian patriot volunteer fighters and tried to establish contacts with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In order to gain the trust of the military, they provided Ukraine with “reliable information” on the positions and movements of the Kadyrov army.
After that, the Russian agents would use their contacts to obtain foreign MANPADS and move the aggressor to Russia illegally.
According to Dekhtiarenko, Ukrainian security has arrested all members of this subversive group. An investigation is undergoing to identify and punish all those who are responsible.
