Tbilisi:Â Tea Tsulukiani Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia has met with the school teachers . It was a summary meeting with teachers to know the griveances of the school teachers as well to discuss the straegies to upgrade the level of education in schools across the country.
It is to be added that the summary working meeting was held at the Anzor Erkomaishvili State Folklore Center and was attended by the head of the Folklore Center Giorgi Donadze and deputy head Giorgi Gabunia was also present on the occassion.
During the meeting minister discussed plans of schools with 65 teachers of active schools in Georgia . They also discussed many issue of teachers including salaries and listened to their needs as well as discussed new projects and events opportunities.
While speaking on the occasionn Minister thanked the teachers who travel to regions from Tbilisi, teach children and make them love Georgian culture. He also thanked the teachers living in the regions who expressed willingness to cooperate and are enthusiastic about the work.
The meeting was held in a dislogue mode to share and express the views with each others . Notably with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia, 31 salotbar schools in Georgia are working today, where it is possible to learn Georgian multi-vocal songs and playing on cymbals for free. Georgian scholar, Anzor Erkomaishvili, laid the foundation for the creation of salotbaro schools.
It should be noted that the promotion of the development of Georgian folklore is one of the priorities for the Ministry of Culture. Georgian Minister of Culture Tea Tsulukiani visited the schools of Mestia, Lentekhi, Ambrolauri, Oni, Zestafoni, Khoni, Borjomi, Akhaltsikhe, Dusheti, Samtredia, Kaspi, Kareli, Gori, Kvarli, Telavi, Ozurgeti, Baghdati, Vani, Abashi, Senaki, Zugdidi and Tsalenjikhi and as a result, a summary meeting was concluded in Tbilisi.
