Agency of Protected Areas attends International Tourist Exhibition

The Agency of Protected Areas of the Republic of Georgia was represented in the United States California at the International Adventure Tourist Exhibition. This was held under the theme of “Travel and Adventure Show 2024”.

Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture Iuri Nozadze attended the large-scale international exhibition. He shared the work of the agency here. He also explained the plans that will be implemented in the field of environmental protection by the Georgian government as well.

Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture Yuri Nozadze stated here that “Participation in an exhibition of such a large scale event is an important opportunity to promote Georgia and its unique nature, and forest heritage as well as to promote the active attraction of international visitors to the country.”

It is to be added that the world’s leading tourist companies participate in the exhibition to share the functions of their respective agencies on this international platform. We need to provide these companies with correct information about Georgia’s ecotourism potential.

Participants and visitors of the exhibition “Travel and Adventure Show 2024” got acquainted with the ecotourism and adventure destinations of Georgian protected areas. 

At the same time, the interested persons had the opportunity to get complete information about Georgian protected areas, and also get acquainted with the unique nature of Georgia through virtual glasses. To raise awareness about national parks and adventure destinations of Georgia, Deputy Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas Tamar Khakhishvili made a detailed presentation, panel discussions, and B2B meetings with the participants as well.

It is worth mentioning that the Travel and Adventure Show is a worldwide event in the field of tourism. In the Spanning its 19-year history the exhibition has connected more than 2.5 million travel enthusiasts, more than 15,000 tourism companies, and thousands of travel media and marketing channels. The people have also shown the greatest interest in Georgian tourism.
