Rustvai: Mayor visits International symposium of sculptors site

Nino Latasbidze, the Mayor of Rustavi, visited the site of ongoing  International Symposium of Sculptors on Tuesday. The symposium will come to an end on June 29 with the announcement of the winners.

It is to be specifically mentioned that a few weeks ago  this important sculptors symposium was opened. Thirteen famous artists have been engaged for carving stones to give them a particular shape with their creativity as well.

While taking to her social media handle  the Rustavi Mayor provided the information about this visit. The Mayor in official Facebook page stated that “In the framework of the international symposium of sculptors in Rustavi Central Park  a very interesting process is taking place  the result of which we will all see together in the coming days. 13 sculptors are working to create unique sculptures for the city in the space specially prepared for the symposium.”

She also added,“On June 29  we will have a grand closing of the international symposium and we will see the result sculptures, which we will place in different places in the city. I am sure that the tradition of holding an international symposium of sculptors in Rustavi will continue in the coming years.”

During her visit to the site  the Mayor also inspected some work in progress. The sculpturing artists were busy giving the final touch to their creative artwork. On this occasion  the mayor was also accompanied by many other municipality representatives. Meanwhile social media users  reacting to the mayor’s Facebook post  appreciated the work of the artists as well.

The Facebook user Lali Mtchedlidze commented, “Every sculpture will remain to beautify the city. This is something to be enjoyed and appreciated. My respect to all artists!.”  Another user  Eka Kobakhidze  commented  “Good luck to you all. This is a brilliant idea. Bravo.”

Many other users   lauded the efforts of the Rustavi municipality’s administration to beautify the city with this stonework. The mayor   said that the work in the direction of public welfare would continue in the future by municipality.
