Georgia: The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Nodar Papukashvili, together with the Chairman of the Parliament’s Committee on Education, Science, and Youth Affairs, Givi Mikanadze, visited Anaklia Youth Camp and met with students.

Nodar Papukashvili provided students with comprehensive information about reforms in all three stages of the education system and paid particular attention to projects that can be implemented to support young people.

According to the Deputy Minister, the youth sector is the most essential part of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth’s unified policy; therefore, several necessary steps will be taken in this direction.

In his own way, Givi Mikanadze talked to young people about the main areas of the Committee of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs and provided information on issues that were interesting to them—he discussed the graduate internship program, reforms in the field of vocational education, and the issue of gambling among young people, which is a growing concern due to the potential negative impact on young people’s mental and financial well-being.

The meeting was held in a personal and engaging question-and-answer mode, allowing young people to directly interact with the Deputy Minister and the Deputy, fostering a sense of connection and engagement.

Vakhtang Baakashvili, acting head of the Youth Agency, also attended the meeting.

The Anaklia Youth Camp hosts the fourth stream of young people. This time, students of Tbilisi State Medical University are in the camp. The camp program spans five days and allows young people to participate in educational, sports, and cognitive activities and meetings. 2024 the Anaklia camp will be implemented in 13 areas and host 3120 young people.

The Anaklia camp was implemented in 13 places and hosted 3120 young people. On each stream, the camp hosted 240 participants aged 18-25. Participants were selected in cooperation with higher educational institutions and youth organizations.
