Georgia: The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, announced that he is participating in the European Political Union Summit, which is being held in Budapest, Hungary.
He also announced this through his latest post on his official Facebook page.
He wrote,” I am participating in the European Political Union Summit, which is being held in Budapest, Hungary.”
The summit, hosted by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, is attended by the leaders of about 40 countries.
PM Kobakhidze emphasized the importance of the summit and noted that he will speak with European leaders during the event about the ongoing processes in Georgia and the relations between Georgia and the EU.
He also wrote that, as he mentioned, it is exciting that this event in Budapest, hosted by Hungary, will be held shortly after the US presidential election.
“I’ll be speaking at a panel as well as a concluding plenary session delivering messages on issues related to our country and events around our country. Also, we will have the opportunity to talk with European leaders about all topics that are interesting in terms of Georgia-European Union relations. Among them, we will talk about Georgia’s foreign political priority: integration into the European Union. We will talk about the ongoing processes in Georgia and Georgia-European Union relations,” the Prime Minister said in his post.
The main topic discussed at the fifth summit of the European Political Union is European security challenges. Thematic discussions are also considered within the summit’s framework.
His post also said he would speak at a panel discussion focused on economic security and connectivity and a plenary session at the summit’s conclusion.
