Russia-Ukraine War: Mikhail Vasilyev, the Russian Priest who suggested the mothers in Russia to give birth to more children so they won’t be afraid of sending adult sons to the war against Ukraine, dies in Ukraine. Vasilyev was recently interviewed and was asked if he sympathized with the Russian mothers losing their sons in the war.
The Priest, in response to this, stated that the death of a child wouldn’t be as painful if they had more than one child. Women have the divine ability to procreate; therefore, having more than one child could compensate for the death of an adult child.
The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, announced a mass mobilization movement where he looked forward to the deployment of more than 300,000 reservists on the frontline in the ongoing war against Ukraine.
The move was announced following the Russian forces facing a major setback as the Ukrainian forces pressed a counter-offensive in the strategic city of Kherson.
Following the announcement of the movement, a large proportion of the Russian population attempted to flee from the nation, which led to overcrowding at the borders of the neighbouring countries, including the borders with Georgia.
The airports turned totally packed with citizens looking for the quickest and earliest escape from the country.
Russia, in the latest move, had the food and grain corridor halted, after a drone attack on its fleet in the Black Sea, in Sevastopol. The Kremlin blamed it for being a terrorist act, committed with support from Ukraine.
The announcement from Kremlin left many countries across the world worried about the food crisis concerns. The world leaders had called out against Russia’s move, with Joe Biden, the American President, calling it a purely outrageous act.
