Tbilisi: On the initiative of Mariam Davitadze and her organization, the project “Road to Higher Education” is being implemented in the Garbani municipality.
This important project aims to promote education and professional orientation for young people living in the municipality.
On March 4, Garbani held an information meeting for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students at Poladaantkari Public School in Garbani Municipality, where the following topics were discussed:
- How to choose a profession
- How to choose a university
- Which areas are you interested in, and what is their future?
One of the organizers of the project, while sharing his views, said, “The project I am working on is being implemented in stages. It includes understanding the general aspects of professions and the education system, learning in-depth about professions of interest to students, sharing practical experiences, and creating additional opportunities for participants.”
It is worth noting that he also mentioned this is not the first time such projects have been implemented in the municipality. Many similar projects were carried out in previous years, benefiting a large number of students through these awareness drives.
Similarly, another volunteer said, “Through my volunteer work, I help young people gain the information they need to make informed decisions for their future professional development. This is just the beginning – through volunteering, I am sure we will share different opportunities with young people and create a better environment.”
Mariam Davitadze, a Helping Hand volunteer from Garbani Municipality, is another volunteer who urged people to help those in need through their volunteer work.
The event is being organized by volunteers as part of the “Volunteering for Positive Change” project, which is also supported by the “Holding Hand” youth agency and is being implemented in 63 municipalities, in close cooperation with the local government. The social media user lauds this efforts of organisers.
