Tbilisi: The representatives of the emergency management service of the ministry of internal affairs of Georgia participated in a conference at Bulgaria’s capital Sofia.
This is the main planning conference before the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) exercise in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria which will be held in September this year.
A five-day exercise on emergency management issues will be held in Bulgaria in September 2025. That five-year conference will organize by the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria.
Moreover, the NATO Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) will coordinate with Bulgarian ministry of internal affairs.
At this planning conference of the exercise the participants were introduced to the specifics and objectives of the exercise in details.
This is also to be added that all the parties during his meeting shares their own views and contributed their suggestion about improvement of the procedures for planning and conducting the event.
The exercise which is all set to be held in September 2025, aims to strengthen cooperation and coordination between NATO and its allies, improve disaster preparedness, prevention and response and enhance coordinated actions among partner countries in responding to hybrid threats and climate change.
The attendees of this conference laid special focus on the hybrid threats. Notably in the present time many non-armed measures are being use by many countries. The illegal interference by countries using these hybrids threats are mostly aimed to destabilize government of the other countries for some hidden motives.
The disaster management was another issue which was discusses by all the parties attended this conference. The climate challenges is also associated with the crisis and disaster management. Many countries across the globe every year face this challenge.
The members of Georgian delegation also shared their views at this important meeting. They further expressed their views about extending their cooperating for successful organisation of this event of September at Sofia, capita of Bulgaria.
