Besik Amiranashvili the State Governor of of Samtskhe-Javakheti inspected construction process of a bridge in the Rabati settlement of Akhaltsikhe. This construction was a long pending demand of local population who must cover long distances.
It is worth to note that the bridge which is under construction on completion will connects the settlement with a cemetery and the timely implementation of the project is an important issue for the local population.
According to Besik Amiranashvili problems were identified at the beginning of the project, which led to a radical change in the project which led to an extension of the deadlines for the implementation of the works.
At the start of the project, the ground turned out to be unstable, the municipality was forced to radically change the project, cancel the announced tender and conduct a redesign, which determined the construction of a capital bridge, said state representatives.
In addition there was an internet cable on the bridge territory, the relocation of which also extended the project implementation period. In parallel during the winter, due to climatic conditions the work was suspended, but since February it has been resumed. The project is underway and will be completed in the shortest possible time. the State Representative said.
Along with the State Representative, his deputies Davit Vardiashvili and Shota Rostiashvili, the Mayor of Akhaltsikhe Municipality, Irakli Lazarashvili and the Chairman of the City Council Davit Lomidze also got acquainted with the work process.
It is also to be noted that due to poor condition of the bridge many people have to long distance to reach their destinations. Moreover, due to poor conditions of the this very important project many travellers also must take alternative and risky routes which some time put their life in danger.
The state representative further added that, we have asked the construction company to complete all pending work in short time. Moreover, we have also assured them that there will not be any kind of financial trouble for projects.
