Tbilisi: The Georgian National University recently hosted the leadership of a British NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) named START. This event was held to inform interested students about the criteria and other conditions for joining the NGO.
The university administration stated on their Facebook post, “ Today we hosted the leadership of the British NGO START at SEU who held meetings with students and undergraduate/graduate programme leaders”.
They also added that “within the framework of the events the both sides discussed the conditions and criteria of participation in the project START and consulted with the people wishing to participate in the project. “
It is to be specifically mentioned that the START project of British NGO is based at Plymouth University of the United Kingdom of England.
It is also worth noting that alongside the project engagement university administration has started preparations to sign a partnership agreement with Plymouth University (UK) which will facilitate the involvement of university students and academic staff in both academic, learning and exchange activities.
Meanwhile, at the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between SEU (Georgian National University) and START representatives.
The representative of the NGO also held meetings with students and heads of bachelor’s / master’s programs. Moreover inside the event framework interested parties were consulted and details on the requirements and qualifications for joining the START initiative were disseminated to all the students and attendees.
Notably Project START is based at Plymouth University (UK), and it is worth noting that in addition to its participation in the project, the National University of Georgia, SEU has also begun preparations for the signing of a partnership agreement with the University of Plymouth.
A significant number of students participated in this event. There was also a presentation explaining the various activities being conducted by the NGO.Students also asked many questions that were answered by the key speakers of the events also.
