Sighnaghi: The art festival in the town of Sighnaghi was held recently. The festival was held with the active support of the National Museum of Georgia. Its aim was to provide artists with the opportunity to explore their talents in different forms of art.
It is worth noting that the National Museum of Georgia is the frontrunner in organizing many cultural and art events. This time again in cooperation with the Municipality of Sighnaghi an art festival was held in the city of Sighnaghi  which  witnessed atteendance of  large number of participants.
It is also to be noted that the main purpose of the Sighnaghi Art Festival was to create a creative environment for artists and sculptors to display their exceptional talent. Moreover  it aims to promote fine art and its development across the municipality and other regions.
At this time  artists and sculptors had all the facilities to create competitive works. A photo contest was also held  in which  again  a significant number of artists participated.
At the end  the art festival was closed with an award ceremony. A jury of professionals selected the winner of the competition. The jury was headed by the rector of the Tbilisi Academy of Arts  Karaman Kutateladze. Festival participants were awarded certificates and souvenir prizes to encourage them to continue their efforts in the field of art.
The festival program included a creative competition, workshops, exhibitions  and musical and theatrical performances. Nana Shervashidze  curator of the Shalva Amiranashvili Art Museum, and Mariam Inanashvili  director of the Sighnaghi Historical-Ethnographic Museum  contributed significantly to the preparation of the festival.
Notably  the Sighnaghi Art Festival was established in 2022 with the support of the Minister of Culture of Georgia Tea Tsulukiani  at the initiative of Davit Songhulashvili, the majority deputy of Gurjaani, Dedoplistskaro, Sighnaghi  and Sagarejo. The festival was held for the second time this year.
The Ministry of Culture shared information and glimpses of the event on its official social media page. The social media user also extended best wishes to the competition winners.
