The student and teaching facility of the Sukhumi State University attended a charity event on eve of Christmas. The event was held on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at child rehabilitation centre there.
The event was organised by Sukhumi State University with special assistance of its department of sports, culture and youth affairs. The charity event was aimed to provided assistance to maximum needy Childs with help of charity.
This was held at centre namely “Child and Environment”. On this occasion the students presented New Year’s gifts and necessary items to the beneficiaries of the centre, disabled people. This day was saturated with special warmth, care and emotions.
Nino Gogoladze, the coordinator of youth affairs department of university also addresses attended of this special event. He said that, “the meeting once again reminds us of how important solidarity and support for each other are in our daily life. Moreover, this will teach our students to help needy people who are unable to survive themselves.”
Moreover, he underlined that the Sukhumi State University and the Student Self-Government will come up with similar initiatives in the future, because kindness, care and solidarity are one of the main values of our university.
The children of this centre wore red and white dress to celebrate the Christmas in its true sense. They were very happy after receiving the gifts items from the visiting students at the university.
The official Facebook page of Sokhumi State University also shared glimpses of this event. A musical performance was also given by the children of the rehabilitation centre.
Moreover, many playing activities were also held and enjoyed by the children with special needs living in this centre. They expressed their gratitude for the students at university for helping them.
On the other hand, after the trip the university students said, this was a helpful and wonderful visit to centre. They have learned many things during the visit. They also expressed their desire to visit there again. They also thanked University administration for providing them this wonderful opportunity.
