Georgia: The representatives of the startup Ecosystem Development Department of Tashkent State University of Economics and Innovation Development Agency visited SEU on an official visit on February 27, 2025, Thursday.
Notably a forum “Development of a startup ecosystem in universities” was held at the Ministry of Digital Technologies on February 25, 2025.
The Georgian National University SEU posted glimpses of their meeting on its official Facebook page on February 28, 2025, Friday. The Ministry also shared a small note about their meeting along with its snippets.
According to the details, shared by the Ministry, it should be noted that, during the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between universities. Planned future cooperation in academic and research projects.
The conversation touched upon the need to develop practical skills in students that will help them turn ideas into successful businesses.
Notably, SEU as a co-founder of the Entrepreneurship Educators’ Network of the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will contribute to and provide support for the reinforcement of entrepreneurship education and the improvement of the ecosystem.
It is noteworthy that, the development of cooperation in the direction of tourism was also highlighted during the meeting. The sides talked about the development of the tourism sector of the nation.
It should be noted that the delegations from Tashkent State University have visited universities in India, Indonesia, the United States, and other countries except Georgia. The main purpose of these visits is to explore collaboration opportunities and exchange ideas.
It is also worth noting that Tashkent State University of Economics (TSEU) is one of the largest business schools in Central Asia. It was formerly known as the Tashkent Institute of Economics. TSEU was the first American-style business school in Uzbekistan.
