Tbilisi based youth agency confers national volunteer award 2024

A government organisation of capital Tbilisi “youth agency” has awarded many young people with national volunteer award 2024.

A government organisation of capital Tbilisi “youth agency” has awarded many young people with national volunteer award 2024. This was held with support of LEPL youth agency and prominent non-governmental organisation “helping hands”.

The event was attended by representatives of the Parliament of Georgia, the ministry of education, science and youth, they Agency, Tbilisi city hall.

Moreover, the representatives from Tbilisi city council, the for vocational training and retraining of convicts, the peace corps, the united nations children’s fund and young volunteers from 63 municipalities were also present on this occasion.

The winners were selected from two age categories. The one category was of teenagers (13-18 years) whereas another category  belongs to old young members of society of more than 18 years age.

The name of award-winning youth has been mentioned below:

  1. Social sphere – Elene Naskidashvili from the Bolnisi Municipality
  2. Environmental volunteering and ecology – Valeri Narikaev from the Gori Municipality
  3. Popularization of volunteering – Lizi Lomidze from the Tbilisi
  4. Education and Community Development – Avto Khomeriki from the Ozurgeti Municipality
  5. Non-formal Education and Youth Support – Nini Tavkhelidze from the Baghdati Municipality
  6. Volunteering in Technology – Nino Svimonishvili from the Akhmeta Municipality
  7. Jury Choice – Muslim Borchashvili from the Akhmeta Municipality, Pankisi Gorge
  8. Social Sphere – Tekla Bokhua from the Tbilisi
  9. Environmental Protection and Ecology – Keso Shonia from the Abkhazia
  10. Volunteering Promotion – Ivliane Surmava from the Martvili Municipality
  11. Youth Support – Kristina Diasamidze from the Batumi
  12. Non-formal education and youth support – Zurab Shatirishvili from the Khasuri Municipality
  13. Jury’s choice – Gega Orjonikidze from the Kutaisi

Notably the goal of establishing the tradition of the National Volunteer of the Year Award is to support and encourage volunteerism.

The another objective of this award distribution is to  express gratitude to those citizens who selflessly help vulnerable groups, socially disadvantaged people or people with various needs. Winner in end of event extnded their gratitude to organisers  of event.
