Tbilisi, Georgia: Tbilisi is all set to host the “Burns Supper and Ball 2025” which will be the 15th edition of a Scottish-themed charity gala event on Saturday 8th February 2025 at the Sheraton Metechi Palace Hotel.
Burns Suppers and Balls are celebrated to honor the life and work of Robert Burns, a Scottish poet and lyricist. Burns Suppers are usually held around Burns Night, which is on January 25th, the poet’s birthday.
Burns Supper and Ball invites the citizens through its official Facebook Page. They shared a post in which they invited everyone and also shared some details about the event.
According to the information shared by the community, it can be noted that every year, the Tbilisi Burns Supper attracts a large and outstanding crowd, and guests this year will again be greeted by the incomparable sound of traditional Scottish bagpipes, played by Richard Jasper, who has piped at the world-famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo for the last two summers.
With the occasion delivering genuineness at every turn, supper-goers can also look forward to a parade of the haggis (a Scottish delicacy), some poetry from the incomparable Burns, and toasts including the Selkirk Grace, the Immortal Memory, as well as the Address to the Lassies and the Reply.
A sumptuous four-course helping of Scottish-themed dishes will also be served, including the heavenly haggis, while an additional genuine touch of Scottishness comes from the live music performed by the Glencraig Band, who fly in yearly, made up of Nicol McLaren (accordion), Isobelle Hodgson (piano), and Maggie Adamson (fiddle).

If anyone is not going to the main event, they can visit the hotel to join any of the practices. These sociable sessions are always great fun and good exercise, and the dances are very easy to learn. Kids are welcome. And it’s free, so people can go and enjoy it.
