Georgia: The mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, along with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, visited Shaori Youth Camp.
The Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Giorgi Amilakhvar, hosted the guests.
Kakha Kaladze said, “Today, we need development, prosperity, and progress, and without peace, it is impossible to think of any success.”
Kakha Kaladze also thanked the organizers of this meeting and talked about the importance of such projects for the next generation.
“Of course, similar projects will continue in the future because they are important in many ways. We also have several interesting youth programs in Tbilisi. Together with the Ministry of Education, we are planning news that we will share with society step by step. We need to implement and promote a healthy lifestyle. It is not a coincidence that in recreational areas, parks that are organized in the capital, similar places are provided everywhere so that everyone can have the opportunity to exercise, study, rest, and relax,” said the mayor of Tbilisi.
During his meeting with students, Kakha Kaladze emphasized the necessity of sports and a healthy lifestyle and their promotion. He also spoke about the challenges facing the country.
Kakha Kaladze mentioned, “Sadly, we remember those years when the demolition of sports and recreation spaces was deliberately done.” And in those places, various construction was carried out. Since we came to city government, we have adopted radically different approaches. We need more parks, multi-purpose spaces, and green spaces to encourage young people to lead healthy lifestyles. Not everyone has to be a professional athlete, but life through sports is essential. Believe me, in our everyday life, in whatever field you are in, sports will always be necessary.”
“True, we face many challenges, however, peace in the country has no alternative. Today, more than ever, our country needs to keep peace.
Without peace, one cannot think of any success, including the restoration of our country’s territorial integrity. Only and only with peace, economic strength, intelligence, and education can we get back our territories,” Kakha Kaladze addressed the gathered youth.
Young people could ask questions at the meeting and share their views with guests. Members of the Georgian Parliament also attended the conference held in Shaori Youth Camp.
