Today an important session of the urban planning and urban economy commission of Tbilisi was held. The session chaired by Revaz Sokhadze was held at Tbilisi City Council there.
At the session, the head of the city finance department of the city hall Gaioz Talakvadze, presented the amendments to be made to the capital’s 2025 budget. It is worth to note that Gaioz Talakvadze on this occasin underlined, “According to the amendments, the budget volume increases by 209,684.9 thousand GEL and amounts to 2,192,862.9 thousand GEL.”
It is worth to note that today, the members of the commission along with other topics also discussed the reorganization of the Tbilisi City Hall Architecture Department and the Transport and Urban Development Agency.
In addition, at the session of the Urban Planning and Urban Economy Commission, the issues of measures to be implemented for the rehabilitation/replacement of dilapidated buildings and structures was also discussed in details by all attendee of event.
The attendee of meeting also agree to create the cultural heritage protection zone.The deputies approved the draft development regulation plans and zonal changes at various location throughout the city.
On the other hand at today’s session the commission members also discussed the amendments to be made to several resolutions of the Tbilisi City Council. Moreover, representatives of the relevant departments of the City Hall attended the session of the Urban Planning and Urban Economy Commission.
In the meeting almost every and each member of council was agreed to build world class infrastructure. Some members also advised to coordinate with other ministries as well as organisation to implement best urban planning practices.
The Head of the City Finance Department of the City Hall, Gaioz Talakvadze while expressing his views said that he will ensure more financial assistance to Tbilisi authorities for overall development also.
Similar views were expressed by the Revaz Sokhadze. He urged attendees to make a local level development plans as per their needs and financial recourses. He also unlined need to ensure stable execution for urban development plans also.
