Tea Tsulukiani meets delagtion from Latvia

Tea Tsulukiani the Georgina Minister of Sports and Culture held a meeting with the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Latvia.

Tbilisi: Tea Tsulukiani the Georgina Minister of Sports and Culture held a meeting with the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Latvia. They discussed many bilateral issues of importance. This meeting was also attended by the first Deputy Minister Joseph Bagaturia and Tamar Tsulukidze Head of the Ministry’s Creative Process Promotion Department.

It is to be specifically mentioned that the Delegation of the Republic of Latvia is in Georgia at the invitation of the Culture Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.

The delegation of Latvia is being led by Agite Zarina Sture Chairman of the Committee of Education, Culture, and Science of the Republic of Latvia. The meeting was also attended by a member of the Committee of Education, Culture, and Science of the Republic of Latvia as well as Nauris Puntulis, former Minister of Culture of the Republic of Latvia, and Vita Bojerni the Consultant on Education in the Committee of Culture and Science of Latvia’s Saeima (Parliament).

It is also to be added that the meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Emergency and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Georgia Edite Medne. At the meeting held at the Ministry of Culture, attention was focused on the reform of artistic education and cooperation in the field of the Education, Culture, and Science between the Republic of Latvia with Georgia.

Tea Tsulukiani speaking on this occasion stressed that the reform which will be carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia in cooperation with the Parliament’s Culture Committee will be held in the field of national artistic education. In addition, Tea Tsulukiani noted that it is important to share the experiences of Latvian guests about Latvian art education reform.

The minister further pointed out two challenges on the way from the Ministry of Arts Education to Parliament, the first one is the cost-effectiveness of the project and the need to differentiate the conceptual art education system from the general education system.

Tea Tsulukiani further spoke about rebuilding the continuing music education system which was the biggest challenge for the country’s culture since 2006.

The Minister also thanked the members of the delegation for their unrelenting support for the territorial integrity of Georgia’s integration into the European Union.
