Tetritskaro: Giorgi Tsiklauri the Mayor of Tetritskaro Municipality together with representatives of local self-government attended the presentation of the project “Youth Voices for Peace”. This special session of the presentation was held at Tetritskaro Youth Center.
On this occasion the head of the Youth Center Lucine Dostibegiani informed the attending community about the two-year project and described the other details attached to it.
The Tetritskaro Youth Center in collaboration with KEA Caucasia and KEA Austria launched a two-year project called “Youth’s Voice for a Better Future”. The Austrian Development Agency (ADA) is supporting this project.
It is to be added that youth clubs will be established in three villages of the municipality within the project’s framework. These projects will be implemented in the areas of anghereti, Samshvilde, and Koda.
As per the speakers who addressed the project it will encourage and unite young people aged 14-29 and help them to participate in the decision-making process and contribute to the development of their villages which will help to build peaceful, united and equitable communities.
“I express my readiness for the municipality to actively participate and support this project which will be a challenge and an opportunity for development for young people. Successful young people are the key to a better future for the municipality and the country” added Mayor of Tetritskaro Municipality Giorgi Tsiklauri.
The mayor also added that this project could be helpful for all those who want to contribute to the local governance. He also added that this is the initiative of the government and local administration to utilise the potential of young people. This will also enable them to know in depth the details of the governance and working of the municipality and other administrative units of the government as well. Moreover this will also make them the political activities.
