Tbilisi: The local administration of the Tbilisi, capital city of Georgia has imposed many traffic restrictions. This restriction has been imposed for smooth traffic movement during celebration of annual Christmas march.
The traffic restriction will be in place on Tuesday for annual Christmas event known as alilo Christmas marches. On Monday announcement about this restriction were made by the local authorities of Tbilisi city hall.
The annual alilo Christmas marches is very famous festival of Georgia. Large number of musicals, singing and dance competition are held on occasion of this march as well. The singing and dancing children walk through different roads and streets while performing musical and visuals art acts as well.
As per the information shared by the several official of city hall Tbilisi, the march will beginning from the first republic square. The march after its beginning from first republic square will pass through many important locations of city and will conclude at holy trinity cathedral.
The march will pass prime location including, Rustaveli Avenue, freedom square, Avlabari square as well as from the Baratashvili street of Tbilisi. Â The alternative traffic route has been arranged by the authorities also. some of alternative route includes Vashlovani and Ekaladze streets. These both streets can be accessed by vehicles moving towards Akhvlediani and Kiacheli.
The two-wheeler vehicles driver from Tabukashvili Street toward Kostava Street can use the Rustaveli avenue instead of republic square. Â Similarly, traffic from Republic square to freedom square can pass by taking alternative route of through Leonidze, Ingorokva, Aleksandre Chavchavadze, Griboedov, Baratashvili, and Tabukashvili streets.
Moreover, no vehicle will be allowed to pass through Freedom Square from Kote Abkhazi and Shalva Dadiani streets, they can only reach up to Baratashvili Bridge and through Rustaveli Avenue to Chanturia Street.
The sources familiar with traffic management added that vehicular movement will be stopped for brief at Baratashvili Bridge, Baratashvili Ascent, and Avlabari Square in stages. The vehicle arriving from freedom Square will be able to navigate using the right bank of the Makari River and Kote Abkhazi Street.
On the other hand, vehicles which are part of the public transport system can also use alternative route to avoid any busy traffic also. The authorises have advised local as well as residents of other cities to avoid unnecessary travel.
