Strick also said that people fleeing the nitrogen plant are slowly leaving the area. Now they are under occupation.

On June 24, the military chief of the Luhansk region, Serhiy Gaidai, said that the Ukrainian army was to be withdrawn from Severodonetsk for a tactical retreat.
The Russians attacked Severodonetsk after Ukrainian troops were captured in Mariupol, Azovstal, as it was impossible to continue the fight, and it was impossible to lift the blockade militarily.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The fighting has been going on for four months. The aggressor country initially attacked many Ukrainian cities simultaneously; however, the Russians did not succeed. Now fighting is taking place in the eastern part of Ukraine.
