Tbilisi: The USAID through its numerous initiatives has been helping the youth acquire the latest skills. The USAID (United States Agency for International Development) with its USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program trains the youth to prepare for job markets that demand knowledge of the latest skills.
USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program is being run like a non-governmental organisation. It aims to create different options for skills training and high-value employment opportunities. It also aims to empower citizens to reduce unemployment and catalyze sustainable economic growth across the country.
The NGO USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program recently shared the success story of a beneficial youth member. They share Nika Garsenishvili’s story on its official Facebook page. The Facebook post states“ Meet Nika Garsenishvili, who is working as a Skillwill Georgia Digital Marketing Team Trainer. With the support of USAID Nika took a digital marketing course at the program partner Skillwill.”
Before starting his studies he worked in sales in a travel company and had no contact with the digital marketing field. However with the help of the course he acquired the appropriate knowledge and after completing the course he became well acquainted with the main features of digital marketing.
It is worth noting that Nika was one of the best students in his course which led to his first hiring as an intern and later employment at Skillwill Organisation. On his part while sharing his experience Nika also encouraged the students to work hard to succeed in any field of life.
He added, “My advice for beginners is to look for as much information as possible regarding this field and not be afraid of difficulties. It is the result of this attitude and the best learning that I have acquired a new profession and today I am a trainer of Skillwill’s digital marketing group.He also thanked USAID and its partner agencies which are working closely to improve Georgian youth’s skills.
