Batumi: The city has once again received another achievement. On September 6, 2024, British Magzine Wanderlust nominated Batumi as Europe’s most desirable tourist destination award category.
The Adjara Tourism Department shared information about Batumi’s nomination in the above category on its official social media handles just a day ago. The department made this information public on Friday after Wanderlust confirmed it. Magazine is known for highlighting places with huge tourism potential. The main focus is always on adventure and cultural travel.
The magazine ranked Batumi first in its latest list of 40 destinations, which also includes the capital city of Tbilisi.Now readers of Magzine have to cast their vote by visiting the magazine’s official website. On the official website people can click on the vote option. The user will be redirected to fill out his/her information before casting vote for favorite place.
The readers can vote until October 18 which is the last date. However the result will be declared after some days on November 6. It is worth noting that the Magzinr “Wanderlust” was created almost 31 years ago. It is known for exceptional travel guidance tips and photography.
The official Facebook page of the Adjara Tourism Department stated “famous British publication WANDERLUST has named Batumi city under the most desirable cities in Europe category. On the publication portal which has more than 1.6 million readers per month, Tbilisi and other European cities are named along with Batumi.”
It further stated “Georgia is nominated for Europe’s most desirable tourist destination. Those who wish to vote for Batumi can do so on the magazine’s official website until October 18. The Wanderlust Travel Awards will be held on November 6, when the best tourist destinations of 2024 will be announced.”
The Adjara tourism department is working very hard to attract tourists from all over the world. The department also hosted social media influencers from many countries to highlight the country’s tourist attractions.
