Castries, Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, met with the residents of Tunnel Road in a community meeting that was held on February 1, 2023, Wednesday, where the Deputy PM got acquainted with the concerns of the residents of that area.
Hilaire updated about the meeting on his social media handles, where he wrote: #happeningnow community meeting with the residents of Tunnel Road. The meetings provide me with an opportunity to listen to my constituents’ concerns and find ways to address them. They are my motivation to work in their best interests throughout, and I promise to continue working on their behalf in the future as well.”
It is noteworthy that the Deputy Minister of Saint Lucia leaves no stone unturned in helping the citizens of the country, as he can always be seen leading from the front. Prior to this, Hilaire also held a community meeting with residents of Faux a Chaux. Moreover, he called these meetings an opportunity to learn about the concerns of the citizens while providing them with a quicker redressal to them.
In addition to this, Hilaire met the concerned agencies for approving Mass Crowd Events in Saint Lucia, where they discussed effective means for hosting and promoting the events.
Deputy PM also stressed the safety of the citizens as the festivities like Jazz, Emancipation, Carnival, and Jounen Kweyol are about to kick in. He also hailed the growth of the event sector of the country while looking forward to providing an enabling environment to further pace up the growth.
