Castries, Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, attended the Giving Ceremony for the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) on January 2023, which was held at the Sandals Golf and Country Club. As Hilaire noted, the Cruisers, this year, completed the race at the Rodney Bay IGY Marina much faster than the race that was held in January 2022.
Ernest Hilaire informed about the same in a Facebook post. Further, the Parliamentary Representative from Castries congratulated the participants of the race. Hilaire wrote in a Facebook post, “I congratulate to all the cruisers who took part in the race and I look forward to see you in December for ARC December.”
Furthermore, Hilaire stated the government of Saint Lucia will continue to support the ARC races alongside the World Cruising Club, as Saint Lucia has been the home for the Atlantic Rally Cruisers for the last 33 years.
“We will keep on supporting these ARC races along with the World Cruising Club. Notably, Saint Lucia has been the home for the ARC for the last 33 years,” wrote Hilaire in a Facebook post.
Notably, the Atlantic Rally for cruises is one of the most prominent ocean sailing events in the world ever since it commenced.
As The organisers of the event noted, the events serve as a platform that provides an opportunity for the crew members to meet and greet with one another. Moreover, it strengthens the friendly relations between island federations.
