The Dissolution Gallery of Tbilisi will be exhibiting artists Mako Lomadze and Nino Eliashvili in a display opening at the venue this week. The two-week show will bring forth the works of the contemporary world of the artists for the viewers.
The exhibition titled as ‘Human Nature’ has been curated by Gvantsa Tskhovrebashvili. The exhibition will provide a platform to the creations of these two artists who have previously been exhibited abroad as well. The artists are well known in their respective media.
One part of the display would include Lomadze. Mark Lomadze is a Georgian artist known for oil-based paintings and other traditional media with an internal dialogue, critical issues in the subconscious, gallery stated in the preview.
Lomadze’s work is aligned with her complex approach towards the issues. The pieces are dreamy, illustrated with profound feelings while remaining non-descriptive and ambiguous. She is able to visually convey a tragic sense of existence; stated Dissolution Gallery.
Lomadze graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts with a bachelors and master’s degree in painting and has produced works currently featured at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cosenza as well as in private collections.
Along with this, the paintings from Eliashvili will also be featured at the exhibition. Eliashvili is also a graduate of Tbilisi State academy , holding an undergraduate degree in fashion design and has featured in both Georgia and Germany as well.
The painter is known for capturing spiritual states, sexual identities, suppressed emotions and beauty as the source of her practices.
The Dissolution will host the show of the two artists between Friday and September 16 at the gallery located at Kekelidze Street in the Georgian capital.
