Tbilisi: The Georgian minister for Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia, congratulated the citizens of the country and workers of the ministry system, who served on duty on New Year’s Eve.
Agriculture Minister Shamugia stated: “Wishing a very Happy New Year to each and every citizen of Georgia. I wish peace, health and prosperity to every Georgian family in this year. 2023 will be a year of greater achievements and breakthroughs for Georgia and its agriculture sector. Together we will make it.Â
 The Agriculture Minister also expressed his gratitude towards the workers of the ministry, while congratulating them on New Year, stating, “I sincerely thank them for their work and certainly wish them much success and progress in 2023, I would like to congratulate each and every employee of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture.”
 Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Otar Shamugia, together with Levan Djarkava, the head of the Department of Environmental Supervision and the head of the National Environment Agency Tamar Pitskhelauri, in the east of the Department of Environment Supervision visited the staff of the regional government and the National Environment Agency for short-term weather forecasting and telecommunications administration in their working environment and congratulated them for the new year and distributed them new year sweets.
 Employees of the Environmental Supervision Department conduct 24-hour patrols nationwide to detect, eliminate and prevent environmental violations. They also respond immediately to messages entering the Ministry’s hotline (153).
The employees of Short-term Weather Forecasts and Telecommunications Administration of the National Environment Agency provide continuous, 24-hour preparation and dissemination of the current weather forecast on the website of the Data Agency Loading and timely delivery of forecasting information to the relevant authorities.
