On the campus of the Georgian Technical University(STU), the First Deputy Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality holds a public lecture. Minister Lia Gigauri was the guest speaker at the event. The main organiser of the seminar was Michelle Muskheti club.
During the seminar, a large number of students from different faculties of the university. The theme of the public seminar was “Civil Equality Policy of Georgia in the Context of European Integration Processes”.
Sandro Chadashvili, the founder of the Michelle Muskheti club, stated that the seminar was very beneficial for all the attendees. Moreover, the seminar also aroused great interest among the students.
Lia specifically said that it was interesting to see that a large number of students from different default of the university turned up for this public lecture.
The speaker discussed the diverse aspects of Georgian Civil society, which is based on the principles of Equality. Equality is a wider concept that covers equal opportunity for the civilians of the country. Moreover, the idea of Equality also required the equal protection of the civil rights of the Citizens of the country.
Ms Lia also said that tolerance, protection of universally recognised human rights and the rule of law are very vital and play a pivotal role in the overall development of any country of the world.
Speaking on the agenda of the agency, she added that strengthening the democratic institutions and protection of human rights are the priorities of the agency.
As far as cooperation with the European Union is concerned, it is to be added that partnership with the European Union depends on the common values of the country and the capability of the country to implement the policy and programs which have been set together with the European Union in accordance with the European Union and International norms.
Moreover, the progress of the relationship between Georgia and the European Union depends on the success of the implementation of the obligation.
