To promote the interest of youth in different activities a youth center was opened in Dusheti. This is the first youth center that has been opened in Dusheti city of the Republic of Georgia.
It is to be specifically mentioned that in Dusheti Municipality within the framework of the youth activity promotion projece thhe first youth center was opened aimed at taking measures for the welfare of the youth of the locality.
It is to be added that the openinng event was attended by the State Commissioner of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti side David Nozadze and the Mayor of Dusheti Municipality Matsatso Narimanidze, Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Georgia and the Head of the Youth Agency on Duty.
Speking on the occasion the government representaitve stated that the project aims to promote non-formal education, implement social services through career counseling, active involvement in public life, and increase employment opportunities. To tackle the incresing unemployement rate is main priority of the youth centre.
It is noteworthy that within the project a mobile space equipped bus has been purchases which will allow young people living in the municipality to participate in various activities.Also through mobile space access to the center will be accessable for young people living in highland villages and mobile services will be installed.
At the saje time the project is supported by the Czech Development Agency and is implemented by the organization “People in Need” in cooperation with the local government and state agencies for youth and employment promotion.
The opening event of the youth centre in Dusheti was also attended by the deputy state commissioner of the organization “People in Need” and representatives of the Czech Embassy in Georgia.
The government representative also said that this will empower the youth for better employment opportunity as well. .They also added that in the futuire more such centre will be opened so that maximum number of people can get the benifits as well.
