The delegation of Georgia’s Parliament’s Committee for Education, Science, and Youth Affairs has visited Finland. The delegation was in Finland on March 14-15 on a working visit. The working visit of the Georgian delegation has been organized by the Embassy of Georgia.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the Chairman of the committee Givi Mikanadze First Deputy Chairman of the same committee and Chairman of the Georgian Dream Youth Organization, Giorgi Chakvetadze ,Chairman of the Tbilisi City Council Sports and Youth Affairs Commission and Deputy Chairman of the Party Youth Organization Guram Okropiridze were also part of the delegation. The members of the delegation had held working meetings in Helsinki to discuss the many bilateral and regional issues as well.
It is to be added the members of the delegation also met with the Chairman of the Finnish Parliament’s Education and Culture Committee and members of the committee. The delegation members during the meeting further discussed the youth policy and future cooperation of the two countries.
Notably the members of the delegation held meetings at the Ministry of Education and Culture and Helsinki City Hall. Similarly, the Members of the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the largest youth organization in Finland “Allianssi-talo”.
They came to know the latest function of the “allianssi-talo” and got the information if there any possibility for the implementation of the strategies used by “allianssi-talo” in India.
The purpose of the visit is to share experiences and to deepen bilateral cooperation between countries. Both sides expressed their willingness to boost bilateral cooperation.
It was also agreed among the participants that global and regional development also affected the bilateral relations between both countries as well. Finland and Georgia shared strong and stable bilateral relations.
The Georgian delegation thanked Finland for the warm reception of the delegation’s members. On the other had Finland’s officials said that they are ready to provide all kinds of assistance to Georgia.
