The work on the rehabilitation of the damaged houses is underway in Tbilisi, capital city of Georgia. Under the program complete dismantling of the existing dilapidated 4-story building is being done in Saburtalo district, Davit Gamrekeli Street I lane N6 to establish a new residential space.
The program has been introduced today by the capital’s mayor Kakha Kaladze together with his deputy Irakli Bendeliani. As per Mayor Kakha Kaladze, the program is important because many dilapidated residential buildings in the capital need to be renovated.
Speaking specifically on the program Mayor Kakha Kaladze added “The program of replacement of dilapidated houses is going on successfully. So far one of the dilapidated houses in Gamrekeli N6 is being dismantled. It was a four-story house which was covered under a category four accident-damaged house that required immediate attention”.
He further added that “ 19 families lived here we got everyone’s consent and a decision was made based on that. Instead of this four-story building an 8-story building of modern Georgian architecture will also be built which could accommodate more people. The people living here will be given neat, renovated spaces where they will continue to live as per all comfort. As long as the construction works are in progress, these families are living in rented houses given by the municipality and all expenses are borne by the capital’s city hall”.
At this occasion Giorgi Papava who is the head of the Tbilisi Development Fund as well as Gizo Vasadze governor of Saburtalo district, and Avtandil Tsintsadze, member of the Tbilisi City Council were also present.
The architectural project of the new residential building was drawn up by “Georgian Houses” LLC and the construction is being carried out by “BK Construction” LLC. The time limit for the delivery period of the project is 36 months the total cost of the works is 6,475,669 GEL, and the area of construction is 4809.9 sq.m.
As per the information, almost ninety families will be satisfied with the said project.
