Tbilisi: The University of Georgia on October 23 hosted an employment forum. The forum aimed to provide students with information on maximum job opportunities after they completed their studies.
The University of Georgia shared this vital information with its social media handles. The official Facebook page of the University stated that “On October 23, an employment forum was organized by the Centre for Employment Promotion of Students and Graduates of the Georgian University. The forum was held with the participation of representatives of leading companies in Georgia.”
It further stated,”The students and graduates had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the labour market at this time and receive comprehensive information about job openings and internships from potential employers across the country and region.”
It is worth noting that University management also organised many such events in the past year. In these events, university students get the opportunity to have the maximum exposure to corporate culture.
The forum organizer while speaking about the importance of the event, said, “University is very much concerned about the overall development of the students. We want to provide them maximum opportunity so that they can establish themselves as soon as they complete their education.”
Representatives of different companies erected stalls on this occassion. A large number of students visited these stalls and interacted productively with the representatives of their companies. Their main inquiry was about what jobs they were being offered.
At the same time they also sought information about the criteria and process for joining various positions in the company.
The officials and representatives of the companies provided details on different job profiles, salary packages and other facilities that will be provided to new employees.
While reacting to the university’s social media post, social media users also appreciated the University’s initiative in providing students with this unique opportunity.
Similarly the students who attended the employment forum thanked the University for such a helpful forum.They also extended their gratitude to representatives of the participating companies for helping them understand the process of joining.
