Tbilisi: The police and law enforcement agencies of Georgia has arrested nine persons. These all are accused of possessing illegal weapons and ammunition without any permission.
The official of Georgian police has revealed details about this recent development. The official said this crackdown against the anti-social elements will continue in future also.
The nine accused also includes one person who is citizens of a foreign country. As per information from Internal Ministry of Georgia all accused has been arrested by conducting raids all over country in coordination with different law enforcement agencies also.
The raids were conducted on capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi along with many other regions of county. The raids on these suspected places resulted in the recovery of huge quantity of illegal weapons, arms etc.
Some of the illegal items recovered from them includes pistols, automatic firearms  and hand grenades and many other banned items. Some of the weapons recovered from their possession also includes weapons that can be possessed only by the members of law enforcement agencies including army and police.
In capital Tbilisi a man aged thirty-five year was also arrested. The law enforcers have recovered from his possession a pistol, a muzzleloader and 12 cartridges.
Similarly, law enforcement agonies also conducted raids in Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Dedoplistskaro, and Sagarejo municipalities of eastern Georgia. They  seized illegal item kept in their possession illegally. Some of the illegal things included  pistols, three other firearms, a sawn-off hunting rifle, 77 cartridges  and a hand grenade an automatic weapon.
A foreign citizen was arrested by police from Adjara region falling in western part of Georgia. The police from his possession recovered firearms, Magzine, 41 cartidge also. Â In Shida Kartli of central Georgia, a 39-year-old man was also arrested by the police.
A firearm, muzzle, and 15 cartridges in his possession at his apartment also as per official of Ministry of internal affairs of Georgia. They accused if found guilty at the end of trial can get up to seven years of jail term.
