Batumi, Georgia: The Chairman of the Adjara Government Sulkhan Tamazashvili got acquainted with the medical infrastructure works in Batumi on June 28, 2025, Saturday.
The government of Adjara shared glimpses of the Minister’s visit on its official Facebook page. The details of the visit were also shared along with its photographs.
Along with the Chairman of the Adjara Government, the Minister of Refugees, Labor, Health, and Social Protection Mikheil Sarjveladze also visited the site and got acquainted with the works.
Construction of a new building for Batumi N1 polyclinic is underway. The new infrastructure will be built near the current facility. The existing building failed to meet established standards, and once the project is completed, more than 50,000 citizens will receive medical services in a renovated, modern environment.
A new building will be built for the Batumi Center for Coordination of Emergency Situations. Within the framework of the construction, the necessary spaces will be allocated for the car park and medical brigades. The working conditions and quality of services of up to 160 employees will improve.
The Batumi Republic Hospital is expanding due to high appeal, for which an additional four-story building will be built. The new space will be entirely dedicated to pediatric services.
The construction works are actively underway on all sites. 80% of the iron-concrete frame is already completed in the Emergency Coordination and Emergency Aid Center and Polyclinic. In the territory of the Republic Hospital, the second-floor iron-concrete frame is being arranged.
It is also noteworthy that the projects will contribute to the development of the health care system in the region and improve the quality of services.
