Rustavi, Georgia: Another large-scale infrastructure project – Tbilisi street rehabilitation has begun in Rustavi Municipality. The project was presented to the population by Rustavi Mayor Nino Latsabidze with Rustavi delegate Irakli Shatakishvili at the Georgian Parliament.
The Mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, shared the glimpses of the presentation on the city’s official Facebook Page on September 17, 2025, Wednesday. The mayor also shared a small note about the event and the presentation, along with its photographs. Â
The presentation was attended by members of the city council faction “Georgian Dream“, deputies of the mayor, and representatives of the municipality.
At the first stage of the large-scale project, a complete rehabilitation will be carried out on Tbilisi Street N4, N16, and N20 residential buildings. Complete restoration, rehabilitation, and strengthening of the damaged infrastructure of accident buildings will be carried out.
At the first stage of the project, the recreation center on Tbilisi Street will also be rehabilitated, where pedestrian paths, an irrigation system, outdoor lighting, and recreation areas will be arranged. Different types of trees will be planted.
The cost of the first stage of the Tbilisi street rehabilitation project is 3,282,091 GEL and is financed from the central budget. The project will be implemented in several stages and will include other accident buildings on Tbilisi Street.A
At this stage, in Rustavi, the reinforcement and rehabilitation of buildings is also underway on Rustaveli and Meskhishvili streets. Projects have already been purchased to start the rehabilitation of 13 buildings. In 2021-2025, 80 accident buildings were rehabilitated in Rustavi.
Tbilisi Street has an important urban and transport burden for Rustavi; the whole city will benefit from the renovated and restored street, except for the population of the densely populated area.
