Ozurgeti Municipality, Georgia: A meeting with teachers was held at the State Dramatic Theater of Ozurgeti Municipality on Saturday, September 20, 2025. It was supported by Ozurgeti City Hall and organized by the Educational Resource Center of Georgia.
It is worth noting that the main aim of the event was to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of teachers and highlight their role in shaping future generations.
The Ozurgeti City Hall shared the glimpses of the meeting on its Official Facebook Page on September 20, 2025, Saturday. The City Hall also shared a small note about the meeting or discussions held at the meeting, along with its glimpses.
At the event, 5 talented teachers: Natela Nikolaishvili (1st public school), Izolda Sikharulidze (2nd public school), Leila Gabechava (Daba Laituri public school), Rusudan Makharadze (village Tskhemliskhidi public school), Juliata Julakidze (village creator public school), Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Tamar Makharashvili, awarded them with seals of thanks, and from Ozurgeti City Hall, them received their chest marks and the cash prizes were given out.
Also on the National Teacher’s Award, teachers presented by the school community: Anguli Sarjveladze, Nino Orlovskaya, Eter Sharadze, Elene Burchuladze, Dodo Megrelidze, Mzia Datunaishvili, Manoni Mamaladze, Nunu Kutubidze, Medea Oboladze-Tsagareishvili, Nino Chkhaidze, Marine Rusieshvili, Tamila Burchuladze, and Nana Sanikidze were given stamps and autobiographical brochures about them from Ozurgeti City Hall.
Choreographic and folklore numbers were performed at the awards, in which women’s chamber group “Rekheuli”, Jumber Dundua state choreographic ensemble “Guria”, ensemble “Shemokmedi”, and pupils of Ozurgeti Salotbaro School participated.
The event was attended by Ozurgeti Mayor Avtandil Talakvadze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Tamar Makharashvili, State Trustee in Guria Giorgi Gurjumelidze, Chairman of Ozurgeti City Council David Stay, Head of Educational Resource Center, Lali Sichinava, and teachers.
