Georgia: The Georgian Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, inspected three newly rehabilitated schools in the Guria region on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared the glimpses of the Minister’s visit on its official Facebook Page on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. The Georgian Education Ministry also shared a small note about the inspection works of the Georgian Education Minister, along with its glimpses.
The minister, together with the State Commissioner in Guria, Giorgi Gurjumelidze, got acquainted with the infrastructure of modern standards of public schools in Ozurgeti municipality N3, village Makvaneti, and village Dwabzu, and met with teachers and students.
As Givi Mikanadze noted, the process of improving the school infrastructure is actively underway, and in the near future, several public schools with modern standards will be opened across the country.
“We have made a decision, and this year every day in all schools will start with singing the national anthem of Georgia – this is a kind of respect for the country, respect for the state. We believe that this initiative will further awaken the patriotic spirit and love for their homeland in our young people,” said Givi Mikanadze.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth has rehabilitated public schools N3, Makwaneti village, and Dwabzu village in Ozurgeti Municipality. The total cost of infrastructure projects is up to 17 million GEL.
In all three schools, in parallel with the learning spaces, there are science and computer labs, an activity hall, and a gym. In addition, the resource room, the doctor’s office, and the library function. The schools are equipped with safety systems and are fully adapted for the disabled – lifts, ramps, and adapted wet spots.
