Adjara region hosts a delegation of Savoevodo from Lower Silesia of the Republic of Poland. Chairman of the Adjara Government, Zurab Pataradze, met with members of the government and the Lower Silesia Marshal, Pavel Gantsaj.
The Government of Adjara shared a glimpse of the meeting on its Official facebook Page on July 20, 2026, Monday. The Adjara Government also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the existing partnership relations between Georgia and Poland, trade and economic ties, the dynamics of cooperation in the field of tourism and the opportunities for deepening relations between the regions.
Zurab Pataradze emphasized the fact that this year marks the 10th anniversary of interregional friendship and partnership between the Adjara region and Lower Silesia Savoevodo. Five municipalities of Adjara are close friends with the cities of Lower Silesia, and over these years there has been systematic exchange of tourist or cultural potential and successful cooperation of relevant authorities.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of tourism. The importance of promoting Adjara in the Polish tourist market was emphasized. It was noted that the Autonomous Republic of Adjara systematically participates in international tourism exhibitions held in Poland, which contributes to increasing the region’s awareness and attracting tourist flows from Poland.
During the meeting, representatives of the Ajara Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and the Department of Tourism and Resorts made presentations about the activities and ongoing projects of the agencies.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance and Economy of Adjara, Ednar Nataridze, Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Denis Salukvadze, Mayor of Batumi Municipality Giorgi Tsintsadze, Senior Adviser of the Embassy of Georgia in Poland Revaz Savaridze, members of the Adjara Government and the delegation of Lower Silesia.
