Georgia: The Ministry of Internal Affairs is launching another project in Georgian public schools – “Profession Policeman” is a new campaign that aims to introduce young people to policing and promote this profession among teenagers.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia shared the glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The Ministry also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze, together with Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, presented the project of the new campaign to the school community at the Academy of Internal Affairs.
The minister paid special attention to police activities and the importance of the policeman’s profession. According to Geka Geladze, the new campaign will help build a trust-based relationship between young people and law enforcement agencies.
“A significant project has been launched for schoolchildren – ‘Profession Policeman’, which serves its main goal – to help young people learn more about the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.”
They will have the opportunity to visit different departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and get acquainted with the achievements, results, successes, and daily activities of the police officers.
We think that these activities will promote young people’s interest in a very dignified and praiseworthy profession of police, – said Geka Geladze.
As part of the event, the ministers, along with schoolchildren, visited the stands of different departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which are organized in the campus of the academy, and participated in simulation activities.
The campaign “Profession Police” will start from November 21, and by the end of the year, up to 4000 schoolchildren will have the opportunity to visit different departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, learn about infrastructure and daily activities of the units, and participate in simulation activities.
