Tbilisi Prosecutor’s Office Fraud Criminal Court Cases, the Prosecution Authority has presented a charge to another person arrested for fraudulent possession of a large amount of money by representatives of a legal entity (Ltd.., Sfero Holding“ /,, Sfero Invest) for fraudulent possession.
According to the investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it has been established that Givi Tsuleiskiri was the founder of “Sfero Holding” Ltd and the owner of 100% stake. Giorgi Murusidze and Sofiko Petriashvili worked in this company and cooperated with Givi Tsuleiskir.
To raise a substantial amount of money from individuals, Givi Tsuleiskir and Giorgi Murusidze established a legal entity – “ero Invest” LLC wit,h 100% shareholding.
Giorgi Murusidze signed up as a director in the organization, but Givi Tsuleiskiri and Giorgi Murusidze jointly executed the actual management of the enterprise.
In addition, Sofiko Petriashvili was also leading the process of collecting money through negotiations with individuals, signing their convictions and contracts to achieve the above-mentioned fraudulent goal.
Givi Tsuleiskir, Giorgi Murusidze, and Sofiko Petriashvili, to deceive citizens and smuggle large amounts of their money, from February 2022 to October 2025, under the name of “Sphere Invest”, signed with individuals “transfer of real estate to temporary residence”, as well as contracts on capital bonds. Exclusive: According to the contract to transfer real estate to temporary residence, individuals deposited funds into “Sphere Invest”‘s account, after which Sphere Invest rented apartments for them from third parties.
After the expiration of the contract, the organization had to fully return the funds contributed by the citizens. Nevertheless, “Sfero Invest” stopped paying rent, did not return the money, and thus left the citizen without a home.
Based on the “Capital Bonds” contract, the citizens paid the money to the “Sfero Invest” account, and the company had to give them monthly benefits. After the contract expired, the citizens had to refund the deposits in full, which they did not do.
Givi Tsuleiskir, Giorgi Murusidze, and Sofiko Petriashvili deposited a large amount of money into the bank account of the organization by the above-mentioned method. They themselves did not fulfill their obligation, both in the payment of benefits, as well as part of the refund deposited, and they deceived more than twenty-nine million (29 073 000) GEL.
Based on the judge’s verdict, Sofiko Petriashvili was arrested on February 4 this year. He was charged under Article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, sub-paragraphs “a” and “b”, which provides for imprisonment for up to 9 years.
