The Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Tamar Makharashvili, took part in the opening event of the conference “5ExLC 2026” held on innovative teaching. The conference is hosted by IB World Schools Caucasus and Central Asian Association (CCAAIBWS) member, “European School”.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared the glimpses of the opening event of the conference on its official Facebook Page on May 2, 2026, Saturday. The Georgian Education Ministry also shared a small note about the event along with its glimpses.
The event, featuring local and international leaders in education, aims to discuss modern approaches to education and share international experiences in innovative teaching.
During his speech, Tamar Makharashvili spoke about the importance of such conferences in order to improve the quality of education and introduce best practices. The Deputy Minister paid special attention to the success of the “European School”, which is based on national values and international experience.
The conference will last for 3 days and will include panel discussions, work meetings, and practical sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about modern approaches to teaching and discuss important issues such as experimental learning, integrating technology in education, and student-centered learning models.
The conference was attended by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, the Parliamentary Committee of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs, staff, teachers and education experts from schools and educational organizations in Georgia and various countries, including the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB), International Schools Council (CIS) and New England Schools and Colleges Representatives of Ebi Association (NEASC) were in attendance.
