The Chairman of the Adjara Government, Zurab Pataradze, together with the Adjara government and local self-government leaders, got acquainted with the construction of equestrian infrastructure in the village of Ghorjomi of Khulo municipality.
The Government of Adjara shared glimpses of the Chairman’s visit on its official Facebook page on Friday, May 22, 2026. The Government also shared a small note about the construction of equestrian infrastructure, along with its glimpses.
The Prime Minister noted that the development of tourism in highland Adjara is one of the main priorities of the government. According to his own statement, the new equestrian infrastructure will make Ghorjomi an important tourist center and help increase the number of visitors to the municipality.
“Our unique highland Adjara offers additional opportunities for tourism development. Setting up equestrian infrastructure in the village of Ghorjomi in Khulo municipality is a very important initiative, which is carried out by keeping in mind the wishes of the local people and a joint effort. The budget of the project, which is financed by the support of the Adjara Government and the Department of Tourism, is 1,200,000 GEL. “I think this location will significantly increase the tourist potential of the region, will promote regional competitions and, most importantly, will be an important supporter of the local population,” said Zurab Pataradze.
Within the project, two modern Sajinibo, administrative and auxiliary buildings, large and small managers, as well as a spectator stand, will be built. At this stage, the major building and cladding works are now completed, doors and windows are being planned to be installed, and interior and exterior spaces are being planned.
Georgian Parliament Member Anzor Bolkvadze, Khulo Mayor Vakhtang Beridze, Ajara Minister of Finance and Economy Ednar Nataridze, and Head of Adjara Tourism Department Tinatin Zoidze inspected the ongoing work with the Prime Minister.
