In the Surami House of Culture, Khashuri Municipality Daba Surami’s General Plan and Development Plan of Dabi Central District held a public discussion.
The meeting was led by the Mayor of Khashuri Municipality, Paata Chaduneli, and the Head of the Department of Architecture and Construction of the City Hall’s Spatial Arrangement and Regulation Department, Lia Jikurashvili.
The public hearing was also attended by Nino Liparteliani, representatives of the City Hall, and locals.
The general plan of Daba Surami is the main document of urban development of the settlements, which includes urban development and its crops. The proposed changes pertaining to the table of disbursement parameters, determined by the interests of a large part of Daba Surami’s population, who were restricting their right to build on certain agricultural land.
The table of parameters will be corrected in the sports infrastructure zone as well – by the order of the Ministry of Regional Development of Georgia and the funding of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Daba Surami has been selected to accommodate 1000 spectators multifunctional sports complex with modern-standard halls and swimming pools, which will greatly contribute to the development of the resort.
The sports complex will increase access to various sports for the youth and enable them to host significant tournaments. Adjustment of parameters is necessary for the construction of the sports complex. Since the implementation of this project is very important not only for Daba Surami, but also for the whole municipality, this issue has become the subject of public discussion.
At the end of the meeting, a discussion was held, where the mayor of the municipality, Paata Chadunel, answered the questions of the local citizens.
To ensure maximum transparency and involvement in the process, citizens are given the opportunity to present their opinions and comments regarding this project at the Khashuri Municipality Hall for two weeks.
