The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, David Songhulashvili, inspected the existing tourist and recreational infrastructure in the Tbilisi National Park. The Minister got acquainted with the condition of the park’s infrastructure in the Sabaduri and Zedazni territories and the existing opportunities for visitors.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia shared glimpses of the inspection works along with a small note about the park’s infrastructure on its official Facebook page on August 12, 2026, Wednesday.

“The new infrastructure of the Tbilisi National Park will create a more orderly and safe environment for visitors. The development of protected areas is one of the important priorities of our environmental policy. Today, a significant part of Georgia’s territory is included in the network of protected areas, and along with the expansion of the network, we are strengthening its management and relevant resources so that Georgia’s unique natural heritage is properly protected,” noted David Songhulashvili.

Moreover, it is noteworthy that the Tbilisi National Park covers the territories of Mtskheta and Tianeti municipalities, as well as part of Gardabani municipality.
